We believe prevention education is the key to creating a community free from sexual violence. Our programs focus on primary prevention, interventions employed before sexual violence has occurred, and we offer an array of opportunities for groups and individuals to learn how they can be part of the solution. From one-time sessions to in-depth trainings, we are committed to helping you find what you need. Our Programs
Everyone plays a role in preventing sexual violence. STSM programs are designed to meet personal growth as well as professional needs, and our curricula are specifically tailored to be age-appropriate, meet state and national standards, and employ evidence-based practices. Below is an overview of the types of programs we offer. To learn more about specific sessions, curricula, and trainings, click here.
We offer both single and multi-session programs to help the community learn more about sexual violence, its causes, and how you can be part of the solution. Sexual Assault 101 is our most requested, no cost, single session training that reviews the rates of sexual violence nationally and locally, the causes of sexual violence, how to support survivors, and how to get involved. We offer several more specific and tailored sessions and trainings as well.
Parents and Youth-Serving Adults
We want everyone to feel comfortable and confident in creating a safe community for children. We offer a variety of programs to help adults be better equipped to understand child development, answer the tough questions children may ask, and become aware of warning signs and the role we play in keeping children safe. Parents can engage in Kitchen Conversations, gatherings where parents can engage in facilitated conversations about questions, experiences, and resources for developing healthy parent-child relationships. Youth-serving adults and professionals can participate in a variety of sessions about safeguarding policies, mandated reporting, and more.
