Sexual Assault 101 is our most requested, no cost, single session training that reviews the rates of sexual violence nationally and locally, the causes of sexual violence, how to support survivors, and how to get involved. We offer several more specific and tailored sessions and trainings as well.

Parents and Youth-Serving Adults

We want everyone to feel comfortable and confident in creating a safe community for children. We offer a variety of programs to help adults be better equipped to understand child development, answer the tough questions children may ask, and become aware of warning signs and the role we play in keeping children safe. Parents can engage in Kitchen Conversations, gatherings where parents can engage in facilitated conversations about questions, experiences, and resources for developing healthy parent-child relationships. Youth-serving adults and professionals can participate in a variety of sessions about safeguarding policies, mandated reporting, and more.

Professional Development and Trainings

If you are seeking professional training, continuing education, or a more in-depth learning experience, we offer programs to help meet your needs. Our single session programs include An Overview of the Comprehensive Health Education Act and Erin’s Law, Child Safeguarding Policies, and Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children. We also offer facilitator trainings for our prevention curricula, Building Healthy Communities©, as well as Care for Kids© and We Care Elementary© from Prevent Child Abuse Vermont.
